Long Before the Leaving

For so long, things between have been wrong..
we've waged a cold and silent war between us.
A broken love, two people thinking of,
the right words to finally say 'good-bye'..
but every time this heart of mine tells me to leave..I stay..
when I really should have gone yesterday.

It's a mistake, an old habit hard to break,..
living in the past love long forgotten.
We criticize,..we never meet each other's eyes..
we never touch each other anymore..
We make believe so foolishly that
there's something left to save..
